Disclaimers / Disclosures
This page is here to clear up any confusion about how we put together the content on this site and what our connections are with mattress brands in the industry. We believe in being upfront, and we want this page to lay it all out for you. We’re also sharing this info to comply with the FTC’s “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising” 16 CFR, Part 255.

Receiving Free Products
For most of our reviews, we get the product for free in exchange for taking a look at it (in some cases, where we’ve specifically mentioned it, we might just share a summary of what customers elsewhere have said). Just because we get the product doesn’t mean we’ll write a review. Our reviews are based on the honest opinions of our writers, who have spent hundreds of hours testing out mattresses and other sleep products.
Affiliate Links
Sometimes, in our reviews, you’ll see “affiliate links.” What that means is, if you click that link and buy something, we’ll earn a small commission. These commissions help us keep the lights on for our testing and reviewing work. It won’t cost you a penny extra. It just means that the sale gets linked back to our website. We might also share a coupon for a product, and when you use that, we get a commission for the sale.
We might also link to general online stores where we get a commission, but we don’t have any direct relationship with the actual company that makes the product (for example, we might link to a mattress on Amazon and get a commission, but that’s a relationship with Amazon, not the mattress company itself).
Our Philosophy
The whole reason we made this website is to help people find the right sleep products for them. Choosing a mattress can be overwhelming. What works for one person might not work for another—it’s all about personal preference. There’s a lot of marketing fluff out there that can make it hard for people to make a good choice.
With that in mind, we want to give you information that makes it easier. We break down the important details of each mattress and explain who it might be best for. The opinions on this site are our own, and you should think of them as opinions, not the final say.
Generally, we try to stay away from saying things like, “this is the best mattress,” though we do give ratings for products, sometimes split by categories (like the best innerspring mattresses). These scores and rankings are subjective—they reflect our personal opinions and preferences. That’s because the “best” mattress is different for everyone, depending on things like weight, sleeping position, and personal taste. We recommend using the info on the site as a jumping-off point to help guide your mattress search.
