Poly & Bark Calle 75" Apartment Sofa Review

Our evaluation followed the same sofa testing process used across assembly, temperature, comfort, durability, room fit, cleaning, and value. Daily sessions included laptop work, reading, TV, shared seating, and stretching out. We also measured the frame and seating area, tracked cushion compression and rebound, checked edge stability, and watched for motion traveling across the bench cushion.

The Calle arrived feeling solid and finished, with no loose joints or uneven leg alignment. Attaching the legs took 9 minutes with one person. Our sample measured 75.1 inches wide with 22.2 inches of usable seat depth, both close enough to the listed dimensions to plan a room confidently. That seat depth feels roomy within a compact frame, though shorter sitters needed a lumbar pillow to keep their feet planted.

The bench cushion has a firm first contact and stays level as you shift position. Under a 180-pound sitter, the center compressed about 1.5 inches while the front edge compressed 0.9 inch, which explains the strong edge support. The cushion recovered roughly 95% of its original height within a minute after standing. Motion remained localized when a second person sat down, making the sofa comfortable for shared reading or laptop sessions.

After an hour, the leather surface was 6.7°F warmer than at the start but never felt clammy in a climate-controlled room. The upright back and stable cushion worked best for work, conversation, and regular TV viewing. Stretching out was possible for one person, but the 75-inch frame and firm padding made long naps less inviting than on a softer, longer sofa.

The 22-inch usable seat depth works naturally for many medium-height and taller adults; shorter sitters should expect to use a lumbar pillow.

Then choose the leather finish around your tolerance for wear. Cognac Tan’s pure-aniline surface shows natural markings, scratches, and patina. The other colors use semi-aniline leather with more surface protection. Homes with children, pets, or frequent spills may be better served by an easier-care sofa unless the changing look of leather is part of the appeal.

The Calle 75 earns its place through material character, stable edge support, and an efficient 75-inch width. It is the strongest choice of these options for someone who wants the Calle design and has a strict wall-length limit.

Poly & Bark Essex 74" Apartment Sofa: The Essex is one inch narrower overall and six inches shallower, yet its listed seat is deeper at 24.4 inches. Its lower, tufted profile feels more midcentury, while semi-aniline leather adds surface protection. Pick the Essex for a lower silhouette and a shallower room footprint; pick the Calle for a taller back, bench-style seat, and pure-aniline Cognac Tan option.

Poly & Bark Calle 90" Sofa: The 90-inch model keeps the Calle’s 39-inch depth, 20-inch seat height, and 22-inch seat depth but adds 15 inches of overall and usable width. It is the better same-family choice for three-person seating or more room to stretch out, provided the room and delivery path can handle it.

Performance-fabric sofas: A good performance-fabric sofa is the practical alternative for pets, children, and frequent spills. It will not develop the Calle’s leather patina, but it usually asks less of the owner when daily messes matter more than natural material character.
