The Daydreamer succeeds as a premium modular lounger. The ottoman and armless seat are easy to reposition, the frame remains quiet when people change seats, and the loose cushions encourage relaxed movie watching and naps. The 22-inch interior seat depth is generous without being extreme, although shorter sitters may still want a back pillow to bring the support forward.

Room & Board Metro is the closest premium alternative. It offers many sizes, standard and extra-deep versions, a benchmade hardwood frame, and a more conventional sofa profile. Choose Metro when you want more control over the completed sectional’s shape and depth; choose Daydreamer when independent modules and a large ottoman matter more.

Crate & Barrel Gather costs less in common two-piece chaise configurations and uses innerspring seat cushions with fiber-filled backs. Its chaise layout gives you a defined lounging side without requiring frequent rearrangement. Gather makes more sense if you want a familiar fixed sectional, while the Daydreamer earns its higher price through greater layout flexibility and made-to-order upholstery.

Burrow Range sits in a much lower price and size tier. Its three-seat configuration is shallower and lower, and its boxed modular system is easier to relocate or expand in stages. It is the practical pick for renters and frequent movers.
